How to submit a Topic to the Discovery Library

The Discovery Library is a place where Flipgrid partners and Group leads share Topics for the community to explore and use! Group leads can submit their Topics to be reviewed by our Engagement team. Once approved, Group leads can copy a direct link to the Topic to share, or add their Topic to a Collection! 

Submit a Topic to the Discovery Library from the Topic view

  1. In Discussion, go to your Topics
  2. Next to the Topic, select Actions and Submit to Discovery
  3. Add the Discovery details for the Topic
    • Audience: Who is best suited to use the Topic
    • Subject: Select the subject the Topic best fits
    • Integration Notes: Add information about how others should use this Topic
    • Optional: Update the Topic Essentials
    • Optional: Add Topic Attachments
  4. Submit the Topic

Submit a Topic from the Discovery Library tab

1. You can also submit a Topic from the Discovery Library tab. 

2. Select Discovery from the menu bar

3. Select My Library

4. Select Submit a Topic

5. Add the Discovery details for the Topic

    • Community: Who is best suited to use the Topic
    • Subject: Select the subject the Topic best fits
    • Integration Notes: Add information about how educators should use this Topic
    • Optional: Title
    • Optional: Description
    • Optional: Topic Media - picture, video, emoji, upload a video, Youtube or Vimeo, add an integration, or add an attachment. 
  1. Select Submit to Discovery.

All Topics are personally approved by the Flipgrid team. Please allow up to 5 business days for the team to review and approve Topics. Once approved, you'll get an notification via email.
