Educators can bulk add Student emails or email domains to a Topic or Group. Educators can import emails using the following methods:
Uploading a CSV file
Formatting the CSV
The spreadsheet should include 1 heading - "email". Educators can download a template here: Student Email Upload Template.
Here's an example of how the spreadsheet should be formatted:

The CSV should be saved as a .csv file. When saving the file in your program (Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, Numbers, etc.), please ensure you are saving as a CSV.
Uploading the CSV
- Access your Educator account at admin.flipgrid.com
- Within Discussions, select the Topic or Groups tab
- Select Actions and Edit the Topic or Group
- Scroll to the Permissions section
- Select upload a CSV file to upload your Student Emails or email domains
Note: If you are uploading a longer list, please be patient as it can take a few seconds to complete the upload prior to reflecting the email in the allowed emails section.
Copy and Paste Multiple Student Emails or Domains
Educators can simply copy and paste Student Emails or domains. The list of emails addresses or domains must be seperated by a space ( ) or comma (,).
The list can be directly copied from an Excel, Word doc, Google sheet, or any other student list/roster!
- Access your Educator account at admin.flipgrid.com
- Within Discussions, select the Topic or Groups tab
- Select Actions and Edit the Topic or Group
- Scroll to the Permissions section to add or edit your student email list
- Copy and paste the list of Student email and domains
