When you first sign up for Flipgrid, you enter our profile information and Flipgrid creates a display name and profile photo for you. At any time, you're able to change your information, display name, or profile photo. If you have a Bitmoji avatar, you can use it as your profile photo.
Update your display name and photo
Important: To upload your Bitmoji avatar, you must use Flipgrid.com.
- Go to admin.flipgrid.com.
- In the top right, click your Profile photo bubble
> Profile. - On your profile page, click the larger Profile photo bubble .
- In the "Edit profile" window, update your profile.
- Change your profile photo: Click the Profile photo bubble . Follow the onscreen instructions to upload an image. After your image uploads, you can crop it if you want. When you're happy with your image, click Save changes.
- Upload your Bitmoji avatar: Click Use your Bitmoji avatar. In the pop-up window, sign in to your Snapchat account. To connect your Snapchat to your Flipgrid, click Continue. You’re Bitmoji avatar is automatically saved as your new profile photo.
- Update your display name: In the text box under "Display name," update your display name.
- Change your profile photo: Click the Profile photo bubble
- Click Save Changes.
- If you only uploaded a Bitmoji avatar, you can just exit the window.
Important: To upload your Bitmoji avatar, you must use Flipgrid.com.
- Open the Flipgrid app.
- In the bottom right, tap your Profile photo bubble .
- On your profile screen, tap the larger Profile photo bubble .
- On the "Edit Profile" screen, update your profile.
- Change your profile photo: Tap Change. Select either Choose from photo library or Take a photo. After you select a photo or take a new one, you can crop the image. When you're happy with your image, tap Confirm or Use photo.
- Update your display name: Tap your current display name. Then, update your display name.
- At the bottom, tap Confirm.
Update your profile information
You’re able to update the following profile information through account settings:
- First and last name
- Display name
- Organization name
- Community
- Your location (your country/region and US-only state/territory)
- Time zone
Important: You can only update your profile information on Flipgrid.com.
- Go to admin.flipgrid.com.
- In the top right, click your Profile photo bubble > Settings
. - Under "Profile," update your information.
- Enter text in the text boxes for: First name, Last name, Display name, and Organization name.
- Click the down arrow
and choose options for: Community, Subject, Country/Region, State, and Time zone.
- Click Update Profile.
