As a lead, you can edit y our group’s details at any time. From the web browser or mobile app, you can invite new members, up date your group’s name and notification frequency, and change your group's theme image.

Edit your group
- Go to admin.flipgrid.com.
- At the top left, select Groups
. - Hover over the group you want to edit and at the top right, click More
> Edit group 
. - At the top right, select either the Details
or Settings 
.
- Open the Flipgrid app.
- Select the group you want to edit.
- At the top right, tap More .
- Tap Edit group or Settings .
Customize your group
You can customize your group before or after you post it. You'll find the "Details" and "Settings" tabs as you edit your group.
Details
Under “Name,” type a name that’s 45 characters or less.
Choose between different available themes or upload your own image.
Under “Link,” you can copy the link to share, refresh your current link, change whether anyone with the link or only people you approve can join.
- Important: To have the option to limit members who can join your group, you must select "Only people you approve" in your group details under "Link." Learn more about who can join your group with the two available link options.
Enter specific emails or domains for members to join and use a template or CSV to import multiple domains at once.
Log in to your Google Classroom account and import your class roster. Learn more about how to add members from Google Classroom.
Settings
Choose to hide your topics from everyone, view your currently blocked members, and choose to either unblock members individually or all at once. Learn more about how to block and unblock members.
- Important: If your group is public, all users with your group’s link are able to access your groups but not your topics.
Change the frequency of your notifications from daily to never and turn “Allow notifications for members” on or off.
Change group status
Turn on the status of your group to “Active” or turn it off to “Hidden.”
Delete group
Important: When you delete a group, you also delete its contents including topics. Members can still access the videos they recorded and posted to the deleted group on their profiles.
- Go to admin.flipgrid.com.
- At the top left, select Groups .
- Hover over the group you want to edit and at the top right, click More > Delete group
. - In the "Delete group" box, next to the warning message, check the box.
- Click Delete.
- Open the Flipgrid app.
- Select the group you want to edit.
- At the top right, tap More > Settings .
- Tap Delete group > Yes, delete.
